01 — Roots

In IT since 2004

It all began not with a loud launch, but with quiet, everyday work. Since 2004, under the A&E brand, we have provided ongoing IT support for businesses — not one-off "something broke" call-outs, but the responsibility of keeping systems running, plain and simple. This is the very same line of work that lives on today under the name Sysadmin.Express. For a business it comes down to one simple thing: infrastructure that runs quietly, with none of the downtime that costs you money and peace of mind.

The roots reach back even further — to the late 1990s: working on infrastructure in the banking sector (a national card system), then in pharma, where networks, servers and ERP integration had to run with no room for failure. That is where the core conviction comes from: infrastructure is a foundation, not an afterthought you only remember when it breaks.

Sysadmin.Express as a separate company came later, in 2020, carrying forward the same line of work and experience. One thing stayed unchanged — the color red: it has been with the mark since 2004. Not a rebranding whim, but a constant that has been recognized for more than two decades.

02 — The mark

The mark through the years

The logo has an honest biography too — and we would rather show it than invent a legend. From 2004 to 2021 the brand was held by the A&E monogram: it lived through several visual generations, but its heart stayed the same — that ever-red half. This is no retrospective reconstruction: archived snapshots from those years have survived, and you can still find them in the Wayback Machine today.

The name Sysadmin.Express arrived in 2020, and the next year — a new mark, the "hooded hacker." Later we went further, toward the calmer image we have now: a red circle, the dark silhouette of a sentinel, a cool turquoise visor. The meaning is simple — red stands for protection, not alarm. A calm sentinel holding the perimeter while you get on with your business.

03 — At the console

Who is at the console

Behind the brand stands a real person, not a faceless call center. My name is Oleksii Rovnianskyi — I am a Senior System Architect and the owner of Sysadmin.Express. I build and keep IT infrastructure running for businesses — from small offices to distributed systems that have to work around the clock. I am based in Gdańsk and work with businesses in Ukraine and Poland.

The expertise rests on two layers. The first is the foundation: physical, virtual and hybrid infrastructure, networks and ERP integration in demanding industries where a mistake comes at a high price. The second is the modern cloud-native world: DevOps and SecOps, automation, monitoring, security by default. It is one continuous line — from the server room to the cloud.

Personal responsibility does not mean fragility: the systems are backed by monitoring and automation that work without manual intervention, and every client has a documented Tech Passport — so that knowledge is never locked inside one person.

04 — Today

Proof, not promises

Trust is built by deeds, not adjectives. Our principles are not slogans, but what shows in the work.

  • Proactivity. We head off risks before they turn into a disaster, rather than showing up once the fire is out.
  • Transparency. You have a Tech Passport of your infrastructure and clear reports, with nothing hidden.
  • Honesty. Backups are not "promised" but verified by restoring them.
  • Plain language. A normal conversation instead of a stream of acronyms.

The main thing you will see for yourself is your Tech Passport and dashboard: a live, up-to-date snapshot of how your IT system is built and how it is doing. Let us be candid: we are not yet showing loud case studies, other companies' logos or testimonials, because we do not invent what does not exist. Real stories with figures will come in time — and only the truth will be here.
