Who visited — with no cookie banner

We see everything a business needs: how many people come, from which channels, which pages they read, which CTAs they click, and where exactly they drop the form. We count all of it as anonymized events — never recording a specific person — and those events add up to a map of where people click and where they drop off. That's why there's no cookie banner here: it's event statistics, not tracking a person. We deploy full heatmaps and session replay for clients on their own server — where it makes sense, with proper consent handling.

It's not magic and it's not a loophole — that's how privacy-first Umami analytics works: it counts visits by a session window, not by tracking a person across sites. The data goes nowhere: our own EU server, zero third parties.

02 — AI bots

We know which AIs read your site

More and more often, the answer about your business comes not from a search engine but from an AI assistant. And to mention you in that answer, it first has to read your site. We see these readers by name in our server logs — ClaudeBot, GPTBot, PerplexityBot and others: who came in, when, and which pages they crawled.

For a business this is a new kind of visibility — what's called GEO (visibility in AI answers) alongside the familiar SEO. Knowing exactly what ChatGPT or Claude "read" about you is already an edge, not an abstraction.

Background noise that we filter out

The internet is a noisy place. Every day, automated bots under fake names blindly probe any site: is there a password file left open somewhere, did someone forget to lock a service directory. This isn't a targeted attack on you — it's the background noise of the network, hitting everyone alike.

We catch it and quietly filter it out: every such attempt hits a blank wall and gets logged. We expose nothing sensitive in the process — we show only the fact of a knock on locked doors, not a map of your house.

The public showcase of this layer is deliberately sanitized: the provider and country are there, but full addresses are not. Network attribution is not personal data, and even in an open showcase we hold that line.
